Devon and Logan // Wedding

As I write this, I am currently on the road with the snow slowly melting outside. Spring is so close I can taste it! Besides the flowers, green grass, and bare feet…The Drubers have some exciting things happening in the next few months! Including multiple road trips, wedding season, and many wonderful gatherings with those we love. 2015 is going to be a good one folks, and I’m excited that I get to share it with you.

But now…it’s time for the main event! These two…oh my word. About 2 years ago, I met this adorable blonde girl while she served me my brick oven pizza in downtown Goshen. Time passed and she served me more pizza and then the day came when she become engaged to a rockstar musician and brew master…and then we went tromping around in the rain for their engagement session…and then a blizzard swirled around outside while I photographed their amazing love filled wedding day on Valentine’s day. Let’s just say, I’m super sad for all of these events to be over because I could photograph these two over and over again if I could. They trusted me with every step, with every photograph…they understood and appreciated my work in a way that gave me complete creative freedom to capture their love in the way that I saw it. What a gift.

Devon and Logan have the kind of relationship that feels…effortless. Every time I’m around them, I get this feeling like I’m around a couple that has spent 50 years together. Something just feels so natural, and pure, and heartfelt. Basically they are the kind of people that I would love to spend a lot of time around. They also made their wedding day feel effortless and it revolved around the things that make their relationship unique. Logan brewed all of the delicious beer and wine because he’s stinking good at it. Cat tattoos were placed on all the guests arms because of their love for the furry felines. Guests shared family style farm to table food across long tables while they bore golden crowns…emphasizing the couples love for food and gathering with those they love. Logan’s band, The Tumbleweed Jumpers, helped guests dance the night away. The whole day was a beautiful representation of the amazing relationship these two have. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my Valentine’s day doing anything else. Devon and Logan are some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met inside and out and I’m so honored that I got to tell this story. So honored….
