Zach and Aspen Wedding
It's one of those days where all I want to do is reflect. The rain is quietly falling outside...my to do list is so large that it is all a blur...and the only thing bringing me back to what is important is this wedding. I want to remember every detail.
I think we can all say that sometimes we find ourselves going through the motions of life (the stress, the daily grind, the busyness)...that we in turn forget the small things. The amazing gifts we are given that can be lost with the blink of an eye. I've been thinking about those things a lot lately. It's hard to take pleasure in those things in the thick of wedding season. The editing, the shooting, the emails, the countless hours of work...it's hard to be a loving boss to yourself and say "Go read a book." "Go for a walk." But without those moments, those moments of quiet reflection....I can't truly capture a day as special as Zach and Aspen's. I can't capture the amazing moments for other people without knowing what it's like to see my amazing moments in front of me. The way Aspen's mother delicately touched her daughter's arm as she put on her wedding dress. The way Zach looked at his bride with such emotion and love that you thought he was going to float away with her at any moment. The way Aspen kissed her father's grave before she would walk down the aisle without him.
Those moments. Those moments are so precious. But you know what's even better? Zach and Aspen get to delicately touch each others' arms while washing dishes together, they get to go on walk's together and reminisce about walking down the aisle. They get to travel the world together. They get to experience life together. They get to have the big moments as well as the small ones together.
That is so precious...
