My Wild Haven

I wanted to write something that sounded dreamy right here…but then I blanked. #momlife. So I’ve decided that my “about” section is just going to lay out the facts:

  • I have been married to a super star videographer, musician, and motorcycle maniac for almost 9 years now and we have two amazing kiddos…Arlo and Elodie. They make life crazy and fun and awesome and super meaningful. Life is really good with them in my corner. You can check out Jordan’s work at and And you can read my musings about motherhood on my blog or my instagram.

  • I’ve lived in Indiana my whole life. Goshen, Indiana is my current home. It is the coolest small town with the coolest people. And we are close to Lake Michigan which makes me love it even more.

  • I’ve been a photographer since 2010. I started photographing my friends and couples in love, which began my career as a wedding and portrait photographer. I continued to do so until 2017 and then decided to take a break to spend more time at home with my babies.

  • Throughout my photography career, I’ve done some work for Edible Michiana and some other local restaurants photographing and styling food, writing articles, and running social media accounts. I like to dabble in it all…clearly. I currently run the social media pages for Janus motorcycles. Check them out if you are into that sorta thing.

  • In March of 2019, I accepted a position with Edible Michiana as their new recipe editor, food stylist, and food photographer. Dream job coming to life and I couldn’t be more excited!

  • In 2015, I started experimenting with macrame and fiber art and really really loved making art in a new and exciting way. I’ve been selling my work online and at local shops. It’s a fun and creative outlet that keeps challenging me in my artistic career. Read more about my fiber art here.

My journey with food has always started with my love for cooking at home. I have no restaurant or professional kitchen experience, but I’ve worked really hard to learn basic techniques and absorb all I can any time I’m in the kitchen. Whether I am eating at a restaurant, or sitting in someone else’s kitchen, or cooking something new myself…I am always learning everything possible about food. It’s always been a passion of mine, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized that it could be a part of my career. It’s no secret that I always follow my gut when it comes to my art, and I’m so excited to start pushing myself even more in this way. I am now offering my services for food styling, food photography, and recipe developing. Contact me for more information and follow along on my Instagram and blog for updates, recipes, tips, and more.

Don’t be a stranger…

I’ve been on Instagram for a while, I have a very strong love/hate relationship with that weird little app…but I’m choosing to celebrate the fact that it has brought me real and deep friendships, inspiration, hope and encouragement in the dark times of motherhood, beautiful connection to people far away, and a simple outlet for sharing my heart and my art. So if you’d like to connect with me about food or motherhood or photography or nature or essential oils or fiber art and whatever else I’m talking about that day….hop over to MY WILD HAVEN and let’s be friends.
